Today is my very last day of LINK. Even though I've had mixed emotions of boredom and enthusiasm during these last three weeks, I'm feeling pretty melancholy. I'm going to miss spending all day with these wonderful freshman, and being able to watch their growth and eagerness for learning. The freshman are kind and intelligent, always sacrificing for the good of others, and helping each other out. I'm so proud of these guys.
For the most part, I travelled around the rom and looked at what the students were doing with the posters they were making about the values and norms in Brave New World. I spent some time preparing questions for the mentor interview, and concluding what needed to be done in order to wrap up my LINK experience. It was strange staying at my home base at school, but it was super interesting. I greatly value the time that I spent here getting to know the freshman class and getting to know my former teacher and mentor even more. I'll miss hanging out with these guys, but I'll be returning to Animas as a student with new perspectives and ideas.
