Acrylic Transfer Project
Using acrylic medium to blend many different mediums into one piece.
"Get It By The Lungful"
Acrylic + gel + acrylic paint + wax + ash
10x10
This is an art piece I am incredibly proud of. The photography is original, and the art piece is all mine and a product of my headspace. Figuring out what I wanted it to look like was very challenging, and it looks nothing like what I first imagined. I allowed it to evolve into what it needed to evolve into, and what I ended up with is an art piece I am incredibly proud of and helped inspire me to explore what talent I have in art.

Chiaroscuro Project
The treatment of light and dark in an art piece.
"In Perspective"
Powder charcoal + vine charcoal + white charcoal + kneaded eraser
18x24
We covered the entire canvas with powdered charcoal and used negative space to make a still life portrait using objects that mean something to us as individuals. This is the traditional art piece I have made where I am dependent on real life constraints, such as the reality of what a feather has to look like or a mask must look like. It was a very trying project, but the end product is much better than I would have ever imagined I could create.
