Taxes, credit cards, and student loans.
Project Reflection
This project was not what you'd usually find in a normal school. Taxes? You wouldn't see that! Which is exactly why I chose to learn about taxes. It's very relevant in the real world, and you wouldn't normally find it in an average school. I prepped for the exhibition by thinking of questions one would have about taxes, and how it works. During the exhibition, we presented a tax situation and walked people through the process and why people get certain deductions, and where our tax dollars actually go. I find it a very relevant subject to learn about.
This exhibition, compared to my very first project, was much more hectic. For my very first project, the identity project, I had a full two hours of exhibiting and presenting my mask. However, for this one, I had to present my humanities, physics, digital arts, and math in a period of forty minutes. Not because that was everyone's time, but because I had to exhibit all at once because I was going to miss all the other exhibitions due to having to stage manage The Little Mermaid. So I spent twenty minutes on math and physics. It was very, very hectic! But I felt more comfortable exhibiting at the end of this year rather than the beginning of the year.

Boys vs. girls linear regression project
From this, I learned not only more about scatter plots and XY tables, but I also learned more about the average difference between men and woman (five inches). My data showed that men (b=2.27) have more of a height increase as they grow, and that girls (m=1.04) have a less of a height increase as they age. My r squared showed that the relationships between the numbers kept it close, and that it was a strong connection that men are five inches taller (on average).
